MPP eyes revival, power

With all its internal conflicts and discords reportedly reconciled following a directive from the High Court of Manipur, the Manipur People's Party (MPP) is now eyeing to regain its lost strength and glory.
Speaking to media persons at their office today, MPP interim president L Krishnadas said that MPP would now work to wrest power by fielding candidates in all the 60 Assembly segments in the next State Assembly election which is due in the early part of 2022 .
He said that MPP would celebrate its 53rd foundation day on December 26 at the party office.
The interim president then appealed to all the party supporters, well wishers, CSOs and Meira Paibis to come and bless the party on its foundation day so that it can revive a strong force of regionalism and wrest power in the State.

Ahead of the foundation day, a joint meeting of the party's executive members of different Assembly segments would be held at 9 am of December 22 at the party's conference hall, Gitajen added.
