Bishnupur, March 27 2023: District Health Society Bishnupur today organised a District Level ASHA Convention at Kiyamba Ningshing Sanglen in Bishnupur district.

It was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram; District Mission Director/CMO, DHS Bishnupur, Dr L Raichandra Singh; State Nodal Officer ASHAs/RLSL, SHS, Manipur, Dr Jubilee Wahengbam and CDPO, DPO in-charge, Bishnupur, ICDS Cell, H Mitabina Devi as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, L Bikram stressed on the important roles played by the ASHAs as frontline workers and added that the District Administration is making efforts to not keep any work related to ASHAs on pending.

The DC also advised the ASHAs to report any case of harassment or obstruction while carrying out their duties including house-to-house surveys.

L Bikram further appealed to the ASHAs to take more responsibility and spread awareness on various issues including drug abuse to make the society better and Drug Free.

As part of the event, 9 ASHA Facilitators and 7 Facility Best ASHAs were felicitated.
