Nemcha Kipgen echoes message of peace & integrity at Oklong

Senapati, January 16 2023: Textiles, Commerce and Industry Minister, Nemcha Kipgen on Sunday echoed the message of peace, love and integrity at the Cultural Day of the 27th Sports Meet, 2023 of Liangmai Sports Association held under the theme "Excel for Glory" at Oklong, Senapati District.

Addressing the gathering, Nemcha called upon the people to march forward towards the path of development with an essence of love for one another irrespective of caste, colour, creed and to forgive & forget any incidents that will hamper the growth of the society at large.

"Manipur is a truly gifted State.

To save Manipur, everyone should support the War on Drugs campaign which is actively initiated and supervised by the Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh", she added.

She urged all to provide their cooperation in completely eradicating poppy from the State to save the present and future generations.

While stating that through culture and traditional dress, one can show the integrity & oneness of Manipur, the Minister called for participation of the Liangmai Tribe in the larger platform to showcase their rich culture, traditions and attire.

Nemcha further mentioned that GI Tag for all the Handloom products of all the tribes of Manipur is in the pipeline.

Cultural dance, folk songs, cultural attires show were some of the main highlights of the Cultural Day.

Tadubi AC MLA, N Kayisii; Wangkhei AC MLA, Thangjam Arunkumar and social worker Wilobou Newmai also graced the occasion as presidium members.
