Imphal, November 02 2026:
The All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has urged the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) to intervene regarding the examination schedule and centre arrangement of the MPSC Assistant Engineer (AE) Examination, 2026.In a representation submitted to the Chairman, MPSC, the student body highlighted two major concerns affecting aspirants across the state.
Firstly, AMSU said the AE examination scheduled on November 6-7, 2026, directly clashes with the SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Examination scheduled from November 2-6, 2026 .
The overlap on November 6 may deprive candidates who have applied for both examinations of the opportunity to appear in both, despite their sincere preparation and hard work.
Secondly, the union raised serious concern over the allotment of Churachandpur as an examination centre.
It said candidates have expressed apprehension regarding accessibility, transportation, security and logistical arrangements in view of the prevailing situation in the State.
The safety and convenience of all candidates must be ensured, it added.
AMSU appealed to the Commission to reschedule the AE examination if administratively feasible, reconsider the allotment of Churachandpur and explore alternative accessible locations.
It further urged the Commission to ensure a safe, peaceful and convenient examination environment for every candidate while upholding fairness, transparency and equal opportunity for all aspiring candidates of Manipur.
