Imphal, August 10 2024: Department of Forestry, School of Agricultural Sciences, Manipur University organised a 1-day national workshop on "Agroforestry for Green Economic Transition and Climate Resilience, Exploring Nature's Infinite Potential for Unlocking Natural Economic Zones in North East" at the conference hall of Manipur Institute of Management Studies (MIMS) today.

It was attended by Manipur University, Vice Chancellor, Prof N Lokendra; School of Agricultural Science, Dean, Prof Gopal Kumar Niroula Chhetry; Global Green Growth, Chairman and Managing Director, Dr Chandrasekhar; Manipur University, Finance Officer, M Biradar and NABARD Manipur Partha Mandal, General Manager, Prof E Nixon among others.

At the event, Prof N Lokendra stressed on the need to promote Agroforestry which is a sustainable farming system providing social, economic, and environmental benefits.
