Security forces nab three UG cadres

Imphal, December 27 2009: A combined team of Imphal West district police commando and 26 Assam Rifles have apprehended two KCP activists namely Moirangthem Anand singh alias Khingba (31) and Potsangbam Ibochouba Singh (34) from Kakwa Bazar and Heirangoithong Aheibam Leirak respectively december 26 at around 3 pm.

a release of SSP (IW) L Kailun said on spot verification M Anand s/o (L) Achou singh of singjamei Makha Sorokhaibam Makha Leikai disclosed of being a former PLA/RPF activist (Army No.2326) before shifting allegiance to the KCP organisation.

Anand was involved in the abduction of staff of Fishery Department with Ibochouba as an accomplice, besides extorting Rs 10 lakh from the same department as party fund, the SSP release maintained.

Moreover, Anand is informed to have hurled a hand grenade at house of EE of pHED on December 7 at 6.15 pm.

Ibochouba s/o P Nabachandra Singh of Heirangoithong Aheibam Leikai worked under the command of Anand, added the release.

A combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and troops of 3 Assam Rifles nabbed one KCP (Lamphel group) activist from Khoyathong namely, Laishram Amar alias Nanao (24) s/o L Dhananjoy of Naranseina Awang Leikai.
