Security meets held

Noney Battalion of Loktak Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield
Division organised, "Security Meet" today at Haochong.
A lec-
ture on the same was conducted which was attended by chairman
and presidents of students union of all villages of Haochong.
The
locals were made aware about the security aspects and how the
safety and security of individuals/property can be achieved by the
security forces and locals working together.
During the lecture the
people were briefed with the help of audio/visual aids, informed a
statement issued by the PIB (DW).
At the same time, continuing its endeavours towards pro-
viding cohesive environment in the State, 2 Assam Rifles of
9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) conducted
a joint security meet at Khongjom in Thoubal district yester-
day.
The meet was attended by village headmen, women society
secretaries, youth club presidents, and ex-servicemen of 31
villages.
The AR provided this platform to the villagers to discuss
the security perspective of the area and to allow the villagers
to come up with suggestions to improve synergy between
Assam Rifles and the local populace.
During the meet, issues pertaining to youth empowerment
and welfare of ex-servicemen were also discussed.
The attendees appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in
ensuring peace and assured their commitment and assistance
in maintaining the same, said a statement issued by the PRO
of IGAR (S) .
