Poetry compilation books released

Twenty one books of compiled lyric poems written by Rajamani Nongthomba was released today by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya (MSPM) at the auditorium of the Old Guest House, NEHU, Shillong.
Prof SK Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor of North-Eastern Hill University, Nongmaithem Noren, president, IPAK Film Production and Yengkhom KB., president of MSPM attended the programme as presidium members.

Srivastava said that he was delighted to be a part of the function.
"I am inspired by the themes of the lyric poems," he added.
Author Rajamani Nongthomba also highlighted a brief history of the books.
A music CD "Yahourakle" written by Mei Bhagat, member of MSPM was also released during the function.
YKB Singh appreciated Rajamani Nongthomba for his success and said the books will certainly contribute to Manipuri literature.
The names of the twenty one books are Arappada Chakliba Lammeisiga, Nungshida Ima Manipur, Tatlaga Paikhinu Telangga, Haiyu Ita Channabee, Na tung Inna Pairakke, Imphal Turen Torbanda, Shatlo Nangna Gulap Oina, Numi dang-Wairam Matamsida, Khunganggee Atiyada Thokhhoubee Purnima, Eigee Thwaidi Nanakta Leihoure, Ita Shakpee Lei chin Nangna, Kanglei Lei rang Leinungshi, Kanabu Thiri Meikhurakta, Nongmata Oirasu Lak-Ugaba, Karamna Khamsige Ngasi gee Ahingse, Nongma Ukhi Nongjabeegum, Karam na Khamsige Shaokhraba Ma bu, Eigee Ima Kaphouri, Khunu Koubee Pombee Nang di, Chatlu Nadom Leptana and Shambalna Hawai-Ma ton Chabara.
A brief introduction to the books was given by Munish Ningthoujam, Regional Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
