Union Minister reviews Central Government schemes in Thoubal

Thoubal, March 28 2023: Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Kaushal Kishore today reviewed various Central schemes taken up in Thoubal district during a meeting held at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Thoubal.

The Ministerial team was accorded a warm welcome by the Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal A Subhash Singh, IAS.

During the meeting, the DLO'S of various departments apprised the Minister about various central sponsored schemes taken up by the departments.

The Minister advised the DLOs to increase field visits for better monitoring and implementation of schemes.

The Minister further stated that all schemes should reach its optimum saturation to reach 100% target.

Speaking on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Minister instructed officials to adopt aggressive awareness programs.

He suggested that during the morning prayer programs in schools, messages regarding prevention of drugs and substance abuse can be included to create awareness among students.

He also said that with the eradication of drug and substance abuse, there will be drastic reduction in crime rate, better health conditions and improvement in the economic condition of society.

He advised all officials to perform their duties diligently towards nation building process to achieve the dream of a developed nation by 2047 as envisaged under the leadership of the Prime Minister.

He added that the goal is to make India a global leader in the field of technology, agriculture, employment etc.

The meeting was attended by SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS; ADM B Lokeshor Sharma and other DLOs.

Later, the Minister along with officials inspected the garbage dumping site located in the district.
