Imphal, December 27 2009: Offering of floral tribute to the portrait of Sagolsem Gambhini devi and release of annual journal marked the 2nd Kanglei Ningol Numit observance organised by Ningol Khongchat Lup at Nupilan Complex today.

Former councillor of Thoubal Municipal Council Yumnam Basanta released the yearly journal entitled 'Ningol' as chief guest of the programme during which Wakambam Ongbi Moirangthem Ningol Sanahanbi was honoured with the 'Aphabi Mama' award presented in memory of Sagolsem Gambhini.

The journal chronicles the rights and achievement of the women.

In her brief speech, Sanahanbi reminded all concerned that womenfolk of the State are playing an important role so as to make the children successful and to mould them into responsible citizens of the society.
