Court seeks report from Cyber police

The Session Court Imphal West has called a report from the Cyber Crime police to hear an anticipatory bail plea filed by Moirangthem Langamba, Instructor at ITI Kakching.
The hearing has been fixed for September 2 .
Moirangthem Langamba (30) hails from Singjamei Waikhom Leikai.
The anticipatory bail application was filed just a day after five non locals were arrested and remanded to 7 days police custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West in connection with a case registered at Cyber Crime police station under different sections of BNS for forgery, dishonesty and organized crime.
In connection with the case, police had raided the house of Moirangthem Langamba.
The five non-local identified as Dhansee Kumar Banjare (27), Rajendra Pal (29), Pravej Khan (27), Satyam Yadav (28), Shahrukh Khan (28) were arrested when they were about to board a Pune bound flight on August 29 due to their suspicious nature.
They were carrying 31 used mobile phones, six laptops, 9 used SIM cards, 2 note books and one dairy.
In the Court today, the petitioner's counsel submitted that Moirangthem Langamba joined ITI Kakching as Instructor Employability Skill on March 15, 2024 and since then he has been discharging his duties properly and effectively without any bad remarks.
The Counsel submitted that however, Cyber Crime police called him yesterday in connection with the case against the five non locals.
The police also came and searched the residence of Moirangthem Langamba yesterday night.
The counsel submitted that Moirangthem Langamba has no knowledge why the Cyber Crime police personnel came to his residence.
The anticipatory bail plea has been filed having apprehension of being arrested, said the counsel.
The Court, on perusal of the application, observed that the specifics of the accusation against the petitioner has not been disclosed and no document relating to the FIR has been enclosed with.
The Court then decided that it would consider the prayer after calling a report from the Cyber police.
The Court ordered the Cyber Crime to submit a report/bail objection application on or before September 2 and fixed the same day for hearing the anticipatory bail plea.
