'Development of NE States, a priority of Central Govt' says Faggan Singh Kulaste

Imphal, August 16 2021: The Central Government has been paying special attention to develop Northeastern States with main focus on the development of rural areas.

The above statement was made by Union Minister of Steel and Rural Development, Faggan Singh Kulaste during a visit to Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency today.

The Minister was given a warm welcome in a simple ceremony held at the residence of MLA of Kshetrigao AC, Nahakpam Indrajit today at Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai organised by BJP Kshetrigao Mandal.

MLA Nahakpam Indrajit, president of BJP Kshetrigao Mandal O Lakmal, MLA of Jiribam AC Ashabuddin, vice president of BJP Manipur N Nimbus and State secretary Inaocha were also present on the occasion.

The Minister who is on a two days visit in Imphal said that he will inspect the rural development works in the State during his visit and stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been giving special emphasis for the development of Manipur and other northeastern states.

A separate ministry is also in place to look after the development activities, he added.

He continued that special focus has been given to North East since the tenure of former (L) Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the developmental works have increased manifold in most of sectors and it is a sign of good governance.

During his visit, he will mainly discuss with the State Government regarding development works of rural areas.

Nahakpam Indrajit also lauded the Union Minister for visiting the Kshetrigao AC during his short visit.

He also enumerated the various developmental works taken up in the AC aegis under the aegis of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

Further he called for concerted efforts from all to strive for a more developed Kshetrigao AC .
