Imphal, May 08 2009: IGP-CRPF of Manipur & Nagaland Sector VPS Panwar today inaugurated a community hall of Anal tribe renovated newly under the Military Civic Action (MCA) Programme of the CRPF at Eastern Garden, New Checkon, Imphal.

DIGP-CRPF Group Centre Langjing Anil Duggal, Ist in Command Rs Jeany Anal, Dy Comdt Prashant and Asstt Comdt RP Singh were also present at the occasion.

Speaking at the occasion, Panwar, who is due to retired in June this year, expressed his wish to extend the benefits of CRPF's MAC programme to other needy communities as well.

He disclosed that a sum of Rs 1.20 crores had been provided for the purpose.

He also informed the gathering that a group of elderly persons would be taken for a tour of the religious places like Brindavan and Mathura under MCA programme.

Appreciating the quality of simplicity among the people of Manipur, Panwar said he considers himself fortunate enough to be in the midst of such people.
