Mega projects

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and Se- cretary of Union Tourism Ministry, Pardez Dewan have laid the foundations of three mega tourism projects in the State today.
At Sendra, Moirang in Bishnupur district, Chief Minister O Ibobi laid the foun- dations for two tourism pro-jects �'Development of Tour- ists resort at Sendra Hillock, Water Sports Complex at Takmu and Other Tourism Facilities in Adjoining area' and 'Integrated Cable Car and Lakeside Tourism Development Project at Loktak Lake, Manipur' .
At the same time, Union Secretary (Tourism), Pardez Dewan laid the foundation for 'Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition' project which is said to come up at Nongmaiching, Imphal East.
Speaking at the program-me, O Ibobi said that the total number of mega tourism pro-jects in the State has reached four including the Marjing Pony Sanctuary.
He urged all concerned to extend cooperation for the success of the projects in the State.
In his brief speech Union Tourism Secretary, Pardez Dewan said that the fund san-ctioned for the State amounts to 9 percent of the total fund sanctioned by the Tourism Ministry in the country.
Parliamentary Secretary M Prithiviraj, MLA T Mangi Singh, Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga, Additional CS RR Rashmi, Principal Secretary (Tourism) Dr Rajesh Ku- mar, Director (Tourism) Shyamlal Poonia along with other district civil and police officials, and locals of Thanga and Moirang attended the programme.
