Bpr/Kak/Thb/Spi/Ukl, February 17 2022: BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi has categorically stated that the claims made by various political parties to form Government after the ensuing Assembly election are all lip service.

A Sharda made the statement during a flag hoisting ceremony of Sanasam Premananda, BJP candidate for Thanga Assembly Constituency held at his residence in Salankonjil.

Stating that BJP came to power again in the state, A Sharda also clarified that the allegations made by Deputy Chief Minister, Y Joykumar are all baseless and concocted.

S Premananda announced that if he gets elected he would focus on women empowerment, agriculture, education and sports among others.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister of States, Pratima Bhoomik; MLA 29-Kumbi AC, S Bira; former Union Minister, Th Chaoba; BJP Bishnupur District president, RK Bimola Devi; and BJP Kumbi Mandal president, S Angousana.

Similarly, flag hoisting ceremony of M Prithviraj, BJP candidate in Moirang AC was also conducted today.

As part of the ceremony, a public meeting was held at Terakhongshangbi attended by MoS, Pratima Bhoomik; Works Minister, Th Biswajit; RK Bimola Devi; councillors of Moirang Municipal Council and Kwakta Municipal Council; and supporters of BJP.

Later, new supporters of BJP who recently joined the party were also felicitated.

KAKCHING
Flag hoisting ceremony of Yengkhom Roma, CPI candidate in Kakching Assembly Constituency was held on Thursday at her residence in Kakching Sumak Leikai, Panjao.

Speaking on the occasion, Y Roma expressed her concern over the condition of unorganised workers in the state and announced that she would work for their betterment, especially the farmers.

Y Roma continued that she decided to contest the election as a CPI candidate to work for the welfare of the poor and downtrodden.

CPI National executive member and former Minister, Dr Moirangthem Nara; Yengkhom Dananjoy; ex-Minister, Thokchom Tomba Singh; state secretary L Sotinkumar and other prominent members of CPI attended the programme.

THOUBAL
The Union Minister of State, Ramdas Bandu Athawale has claimed that Republican Party of India (Athawale) will win 4/5 seats in the ensuing Manipur Assembly election and be a part of the new Government.

Ramdash B Athawale made the statement during a flag hoisting ceremony of Dr Nimaichand Luwang, RPI (Athawale) candidate for Wangkhem AC held at the candidate's residence in Yairipok Bishnunaha.

As part of the ceremony a public meeting was also held at BYFY Ground in Yairipok Bishnunaha.

It was attended by RPI (Athawale) North East observer, Vinod Nikalje; National vice president, Krishna Milan Shukla; National secretary and state president, Maheshwar Thounaojam; state general secretary, M Roshni Kumar and RPI (Athawale) Wangkhem AC president, L Sunilkumar Meetei.

Similarly, flag hoisting ceremony of Leitanthem Basanta (Bhim), BJP candidate in Thoubal AC was also conducted at his residence in Thoubal.

At the event, L Basanta announced that he would focus on various issues including tap water connectivity, health care infrastructure, inter village roads, education, etc.

The programme organised by 31-BJP Thoubal Mandal and Election Committee was attended by members of the Mandal and supporters of BJP.

SENAPATI
Maram Thangal Council president, A John on Thursday hoisted the flag for Th Sanglou Maram, Independent candidate in 51-Saitu (ST) AC at T/Khullen village.

It was attended by Ashem Thiumei, chief agent of the candidate; BK John, convenor Mayangkhang Naga Area Core Committee; YK Kaping, president Thangal Union; Salew, village chairman, Mayangkhang Khunou; Athang Karam; and Liangmei Naga Council, Eastern Zone president Widoubou.

Speaking on the occasion, Th Sanglou Maram assured that he would give his best for the service of all in the name of God.

Stating that he had witnessed the difficulties faced by the people of Saiti AC, Th Sanglou stated that he would strive to fulfil the aspirations of the people and bring development in the constituency.

It may be mentioned that the blessing prayer for the candidate and his family was led by Rev R Peter, executive secretary, Chiru Rem Baptist Church Association.

UKHRUL
Flag hoisting ceremony of Sword Vashum, Congress candidate in 45-Chingai AC was held on Wednesday at Talui Village ground, Ukhrul.

It was attended by MLA Alfred Kanngam Arthur, Block Congress leaders, party workers and supporters of the candidate.

Addressing the gathering, Vashum stated that if he is elected his main focus would be on protecting and safeguarding the Tribal rights, transparent administration and improving socio-economic conditions.

"The voters must not be swayed or enticed by money and should give their mandate to the candidate who can bring change and fulfil their aspiration", he added.

Alfred Kanngam Arthur also spoke on Article 371(C) and MADC Bill-2021 .

K Naokahao, chief agent; Daniel Ramsam, Sr Advocate and Talui village Headman S Akhai also spoke on the occasion.

Later, Rev N Mingyao Zimik, Pastor Talui Baptist Church invoked blessing for Sword Vashum to bring victory in the upcoming election.
