Tamenglong, January 04 01 2010: In remote district of Tamenglong as many as two unnatural deaths, UD and twelve FIR were registered here at Tamenglong police station during the last year.

According to the official source, out of 12 FIR cases registered one case has been cancelled, one case has been transferred to Nungba Police Station and only two cases has been disposed, leaving six cases pending.

The two unnatural deaths registered were identified as one Ganesh Bhadur Tamang Rifleman of 11 Assam Rifle posted here at Tamenglong who died after an illness on 10 November last year.

Another person also identified as one Md Rahimuddin 27 son of Md Ahaduddin of Padmobinjala of Tripura who was found dead on the top of the rock at Ijeirong village some 98 kilometres from east of Tamenglong police station.

The six undisposed cases includes one incident where a person suffered grievious injuries when he was attacked by another person of the same locality of Sempang Village.

An FIR case was registered on 11 January last year under section 326/307/34 IPC and 27 Arms Act.

In another incident an unidentified persons suspected to be underground cadre fired on 14 Mahar Regiment at Khundong village of Tamei Sub-Division some 10 kilometre from Tamenglong police station and a FIR was lodged here at Tamenglong police station by 14 Mahar on 5 March last year under section 400/307/326 and 34 IPC, the source said.

A criminal case was registered on 5 May last year by Achong Gangmei of Khangchiulon accusing Kahu and party of the same village of beating black and blue with common intension, the FIR case said.

An FIR was lodged at Tamenglong police station under section of 447/325 and 34 IPC, the source said.

Another FIR was also lodged in the station relating to the incident wherefour students of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya Tamenglong allegedly beat up Rita Jha, principal incharge of the same school last year and a case was registered under section 447/454/325/43 IPC 3 November 2009 .

In another incidentt the 11 Assam Rifles posted here at Tamenglong seized huge quantity of explosive at Kanchen store.

Maj Tripathi 11 Assam Rifles lodged FIR case against the wife and husband team who own the shop at the station under section 5 Expl.

Sub Act 25 (a) Arm Act, the source said.

An Impersonation and forgery of signature case was lodged at the Station against Meingandai, GM DIC Tamenglong by the Sangrungpang Village Authority and he was booked under FIR No 9(11)09 Tml PS 419/420/472/34 IPC on 26 November last year.

Grievous hurt was done by one 5th MR Jawan rifleman no 09941038 of C Coy to Apasan Kom uncle of Laksman Kom 5th MR rifleman No 05006369 ADM Coy of posted here Khongjaron some 5 kilometre police station and was booked under section 324/325/336 IPC on 5 December last year, the source said.

The last FIR case was lodged here by Sh Shambu Singh Asst.

Commandant of 5th MR posted here in Khongjaron against one of its rifleman D Koshil Maring 31 son of Modarlung for losing his AK 47 Rifle along with some magazines during the Orange Queen Contest last year.

He was booked under section 409 IPC 227 Arms Act on 11 November 2009, the source, added.

The station could not provide the reports from its subdivisions.

Comparing to previous years, the security force had no encounter in the district in the year gone by.
