Imphal, July 24:
Accusing chief minister Neiphiu Rio led DAN government of continuing its collaboration with the NSCN-IM and conniving with the latter to run a parallel government, the NSCN-K has warned the ruling government in Nagaland that it would not remain a mute spectator to such alarming developments going against the interests of the people of Nagaland.
The NSCN-K also blamed Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) chairman Lt.Gen.
(Retd) R V Kulkarni and chief minister Rio for emboldening the NSCN-IM to abduct and hold hostage wife of leader of the opposition I.Imkong as well as noted Angami Naga scholar and activist Kaka Iralu.
It may be mentioned that both have been released.
A statement from the NSCN-Ks publicity wing said that the DAN government under Rio was brought to power by the NSCN-IM for which the DAN government was now left with no option but to be a willing partner to NSCN-IMs extortion and abduction activities in Nagaland.
The outfit accused the Rio government of automatically responding to its remote control run from Bangkok.
The NSCN-K accused Gen Kulkarni stating that he had deliberately chose to remain silent when NSCN-IM cadres were occupying reserved forest land in Intangki Reserve Forest for construction purposes under the pretext of setting up camps.
The outfit further said that Kulkarni was conniving with the NSCN-IM by choosing to turn a blind eye even as the NSCN-IM leaders from Manipur were building houses in designated camps in forest areas of Nagaland and also expanding towards their non-traditional turf such as Phek, Tuensang and Mon.
"Kulkarni and DAN would be responsible for the continuing killings in these places", said the NSCN-K.
