Only one test positive, 7 recover

Imphal, March 12 2021:
Only one person tested positive for COVID-19 while seven recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, said Government COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The lone person tested positive at RIMS and he hails from Ukhrul district.
The 7 people who have recovered from COVID-19 include 2 persons who were under home isolation.
The remaining 5 persons have been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centres opened at SHRI (2) and RIMS (3).There have been no deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and the death toll remains at 373 .
The cumulative number of Covid positive cases is 29,310 including 25,876 civilians and 3,434 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,907 including 25,478 civilians and 3,429 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate stands at 98.62 percent.
The number of active cases is 30 including 29 civilians and one Central security personnel.
On the other hand, 810 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday.
With this, the total number of people vaccinated so far has reached 74,320 including 30,614 healthcare workers.
The COVID-19 Common Control Room report issued by Additional Director, Health, Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang also reported that there have been no cases of severe side effects after inoculation.
There have been 47 cases of mild reactions reported so far.
All of them have fully recovered.
No severe reactions/allergies, adverse events following immunization have been reported till date, it said.
