In a remarkable achievement, Potsangbam Linthoingambi Chanu of Manipur won the 'Jury Honourable Mention' Best Author Children award at The AutHer Awards ceremony. The award was conferred to Potsangbam Linthoingambi Chanu for her book "Wayel Kati-The Quest of the seven Guardians" .
The AutHer Awards, a joint venture of The Times of India and JK Paper, celebrates women authors for their significant literary works. The award distribution ceremony was held at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi yesterday. It may be noted that the jury members for Best Author Children award were Christopher C Doyle, Kevin Missal and Preeti Vyas.
Linthoingambi Chanu's book "Wayel Kati - The Quest of the seven Guardians" is based on folklore, legends ahd mythologies of Manipur. The young writer has also authored books such as 'The Tales of Kanglei Throne' released in 2017 and 'Wari' released in 2021 .
