72nd All India Police Volleyball Cluster : Manipur Police Sepaktakraw team clinch men's quad, women's doubles titles

Manipur Police's Sepaktakraw team secured gold medals in men's quad event and women's doubles events in the 72nd All India Police Volleyball Cluster held in Nagpur under the aegis of All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi since February 26 .
Around 3,000 cops from 37 units of State police teams and paramilitary forces are competing for top honours at the event that features six sports disciplines viz- volleyball, handball, basketball, table tennis, sepak takraw and yoga.
Manipur Police Men's quad team earned the top honour with a 15-12, 15-10 win over Assam Rifles in the final at the Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur.
They reached the final with a 15-13, 15-6 win over Telangana Police in the semi-final.
Earlier in the league round, Manipur beat Rajasthan Police 15-5, 15-5 and Nagaland Police 15-5, 15-7 before beating SSB 17-14, 15-13 in a keenly contested quarter final clash.
Meanwhile, the women's doubles team finished on top with a 14-17, 17-15, 15-9 comeback win over Nagaland Police in the final match.
Earlier in the league stage, Manipur defeated Gujarat Police 15-3, 15-0 and Kerala Police 15-8, 15-3 to seal their semi-final berth.
In the semi-final, Manipur cruised to a 15-8, 15-6 win over Madhya Pradesh Police to set up a final date with Nagaland.
Manipur Police also finished runners up in both the men and women's team events.
