AKSDO vs KSDO; SHADOW vs PCC in U-14 Boys Cricket semis

AKSDO, Khangabok will play KSDO, Kyamgei in the first semi-final match of the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament as SHADOW, Thangmeiband will face PCC, Mayaikoibi in the second semi-final match.
AKSDO sealed their place in the semi-final with a five wicket win over PTRC, Patsoi Part IV today at THAU Ground, Thangmei-band courtesy of bowlers.
AKSDO chose wisely to field first as Md Ushmal Ali (3/17 in 4.2 overs), Khundrakpam Boiton (2/3 in 3 overs), Saikhom Dinesh (2/12 in 4 overs) and Bidyananda Ningthoujam (2/25 in 4 overs) produced impeccable bowling performances to dismantle PRTC for 99 runs in 23.2 overs before Chingamba Elangbam scored an unbeaten 42 off 71 to guide AKSDO to winning 103/5 in 25.5 overs.
Borish Khundrakpam also scored 29 off 60 for AKSDO in an innings which saw Bush Sagolshem pick four wickets in 6 overs for PTRC whose four batters departed on ducks.
Only Henba Paonam 22, Md Ushmal Ali 19, Ngambarel Naoshekpam 14 and Bush Sagolshem 13 managed to reach double digit runs for PTRC.
In the second quarter final match, Devis Khunjamayum picked 6 wickets to help SHADOW crush YWC-Langthabal by 85 runs at PTRC Ground.
SHADOW won the toss and elected to bat first but were restricted to 135/8 runs as YWC bowlers were too economical.
SHADOW's Devis Khunjamayum (6/13 in 5.1 overs) and Sagatpam Telheiba (3/16 in 5 overs) rocked the YWC line up and bowled them out for 50 runs.
Arubam Goshan 29 not out and Chinglemba Haobam 21 were the main run getters for SHADOW before YWC had a disastrous chase that witnessed Sanathoi scoring highest 12 for the team.
Meanwhile, KSDO ousted TRAU by 2 wickets in the third quarter final match at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium despite Mutum Swabhiman producing an all-round performance (92 off 78 runs and 2 wickets for 19 runs in 6 overs) for TRAU.
TRAU amassed 192/3 after being put in to bat first but contributions from Md Washim 40, Kh Firdos 35, Md Abu Sufiyan 24, Md Gunbas 22 and others fired KSDO to winning 196/8 in 29.2 overs of the chase.
TRAU's Preethson Arubam and Arubam Rainson also picked two wickets apiece in a lost cause.
At Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, PCC registered a 3 wicket win over Al-Ameen to set up a semi-final date with SHADOW.
PCC elected to field first and dismissed Al-Ameen for 83 all out in 25.2 overs courtesy of Lamnganba Nongmaithem (5/13) and Pravin Kumar (2/19) and cruised to a winning 86 in 23.2 overs at the cost of 7 wickets thanks to Pravin Kumar's unbeaten 36 .
