AR organizes medical camp

Imphal, February 11 2015:
The 32nd Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a medical camp under the Assam Rifles Military Civic Action programme at Joupi and nearby villages of Chandel District on Wednesday.
According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR(S), the camp was organized to provide medical assistance to the people requiring medical help in the remote areas.
The event was inaugurated by Brig Gajendra Joshi, SM, Commander, 28 Sector Assam Rifles.
A total of 278 patients including 93 children were treated during the camp.
In addition, a health awareness lecture was also delivered to the local populace stressing upon importance of healthy lifestyle in preventing diseases.
The locals were also counselled on cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in accordance with "SWACH BHARAT ABHIYAN" .
