Appoint new TA Minister : Naga MLAs

Ten Naga legislators have appealed Chief Minister N Biren Singh to appoint a new Tribal Affairs and Hills Minister in-charge to look after the affairs of the tribals and the hills efficiently and effectively.
In a letter addressed to Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Naga legislators namely, SS Olish, (Chandel AC); Leishiyo Keishing (Phungyar AC) Ram Muivah (Ukhrul AC), Khashim Vashum (Chingai AC), J Kumo Sha, (Karong AC), Losii Dikho (Mao AC), N Kayisii (Tadubi AC) Awangbow Newmai (Tamei AC) Janghemlung Panmei (Tamenglong AC) and Dinganglung Gangmei (Nungba AC) urged the Chief Minister to look into the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department which has been rendered defunct due to the absence of the responsible TA & Hills Minister for the last ten months.
The letter also pointed out that the Department has become crucial in this hour of crisis to look after the needs and development of tribals and hill areas of the State to bring overall peace and progress in Manipur and urged the Chief Minister to appoint a new TA & Hills Minister in-charge.
