KNF-MC chief German attacked, escort injured

Imphal, August 02 2024: Commander of Kuki National Front (KNF-MC) Th German was attacked by unknown gunmen on Friday around 7 pm.

Though German escaped unhurt in the attack, one of his escort personnel suffered gunshot wounds.

Source said that the incident occurred in Molnom village area in Churachandpur district when German was on his way to gym for regular workout session.

His escort team also retaliated forcing the assailants to flee the scene.

Meanwhile, security source said that the incident occurred around 8 pm when some unknown armed assailants on a Maruti Gypsy attacked the KNF(MC) team including their commander German, when they were stationed at Molnom Endurance Library.

One of the cadres, namely Stonic (28) of Tuibong got injured in the attack and was evacuated to Hauzel Diagnostic Centre, a private clinic in Churachandpur.

Identity of the assailants are unknown at the time of filing this report.
