Ex-servicemen rally held in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, February 27 2024: Red Shield Division of Spear Corps on Sunday organised an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) rally in Bishnupur district to provide platform to retired soldiers from Bishnupur, Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, and Kakching districts on Sunday.

With a turnout of 400 veterans, including five Veer Naris and 49 war widows, the rally was attended by Maj Gen SS Kartikeya, who extended his heartfelt appreciation to the veterans and their families for their unwavering sacrifices and dedicated services to the nation.

He also acknowledged the invaluable support rendered by the ESM community amidst the prevailing security scenario in the state.

The rally was designed to cater to the diverse needs and concerns of the attending ESM.

Various assistance booths were set up to offer guidance on critical matters including healthcare, pension discrepancies, and services provided by the ECHS Polyclinic.

Medical specialists from both the army and district hospital conducted a medical camp, extending medical aid and provision of essential medicines to rally attendees.

Additionally, a CSD outlet was established onsite for the provisioning of CSD items.
