KBC Manipur Synod holds 46th assembly

The Kuki Christian Church (KCC) Manipur Synod concluded its 46tlj assembly ort Monday at Songlei Mongbung in Saikul sub-division, Kangpokpi district.
The event, which began on January 17, brought together 170 leaders from across the Synod under the theme, "Pakai Chu Ka Ponlap Ahi" (The Lord Is My Banner), based on Exodus 17:15.During these trying times, marked by socio-political unrest and challenges faced by the Kuki community, the assembly served as a spiritual anchor.
Prayers were offered for the community's leaders, frontline workers, and all those working tirelessly for the community.
The delegates united in intercessions, seeking divine guidance and protection for the Kuki people and their future.
A highlight of the assembly was the befitting farewell accorded to 10 retired pastors, who dedicated more than four decades to serving the community, celebrating their, unwavering faith and service as examples of commitment to the church and society.
Additionally, meritorious students excelling in Sunday school and Synod examinations were honoured, recognising their dedication to learning and spiritual growth.
The assembly concluded with the ordination of four pastors, namely, Letgou-len Khongsai, Lamgoulen Khongsai, Jamkholal Lupho, and Joyful Khongsai.
Their commitment to pastoral service signifies hope and spiritual rejuvenation for the Kuki Christian Church and its mission.
Prominent church leaders, including Kuki Christian Church Manipur Synod executive secretary Dr T Lunkim, assistant executive secretary Dr S Chongloi, moderator reverend J Lunkim, and assistant moderator Thangkholam Chongloi, delivered thought-provoking messages.
They delivered sermons, emphasising the theme of the assembly covering the aspects of resilience, unity, and the power of prayer amidst adversity.
