RSU ex-VC others call on Governor

Imphal, February 27 2024: Former vice-chancellor of Rawatpura Sarkar University, Dr Rajesh Pathak, accompanied by two others, met Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan, here, on Monday.

During the meeting, they emphasised the pivotal role of education in the holistic development of society, and discussed potential of establishing a private university in the state aimed at enhancing students' skills across diverse fields.

Principal of Dental College, JNIMS, Prof Nidarsh D Hegde, also met Governor Anusuiya, furthering dialogues on educational initiatives and advancements.

In a separate engagement, Ramshwarup Singh, Khumukcham Rambo Meitei, and Chabungbam Mangi, representing civil and electrical contractor domains met with the Governor to deliberate on proposals concerning infrastructure development within the Raj Bhavan campus.

Adding to the array of discussions, Dr Rangitabali Waikhom, director of education (U), also had a meeting with Governor Uikey at Raj Bhavan in the evening on Monday, underscoring the ongoing efforts in educational governance and policy implementation.
