Ksh Yaima & Thambal award from next year

Kshetrimayum Yaima Foundation (KYF) will begin presenting the Kshetrimayum Yaima and Thambal International Lifetime Achievement Award from next year onwards.
The potential award winners will be selected from the field of Manipuri language, literature and culture; education and social activists/workers, the Foundation announced during the observance of the 28th death anniversary of Kshetrimayum Yaima at its premises in Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai on Thursday.
The observance was attended by Social Welfare Board former chairperson Rk Noyonsana Devi as chief guest and KYF legal advisor Ngangom Tejkumar as president, while Bishnupur Higher Secondary School retired principal Wahengbam Hemabati Devi and social and cultural activist Loitongbam Brajamohom Singh were guests of honour.
Foundation president Kshetrimayum Subadani and secretary Rakesh Naorem also spoke on the occasion.
As part of the observance, floral tributes were offered to the portrait of the deceased, followed by conduct of poetry recitation programme, which was moderated by Ashei Lup president Dilip Mayengbam and participated by around 20 writers.
