CCpur DC visits IDPS in Singngat

Churachandpur district's deputy commissioner Dharun Kumar S on Thursday met with the internally displaced people (IDPs) at the St Joseph School relief camp, Singngat.
The DC distributed relief materials including blankets, soaps, sanitary pads, and other toiletries to around 270 displaced people staying in the camp.
He also made a spot assessment of the model residential school on the way to Singngat and an under construction bridge at Maukot village, Singngat sub-division.
Interacting with the IDPs, the DC stated that difficulties faced in the relief camps need to be addressed.
Thanking Father Mung for his care of the IDPs at St Joseph School, and planning to shift the relief camp to a better place, he urged the people to contact Father Mung or the SDO for any issues faced in the relief camp.
Saving lives of the people and providing immediate support to the affected population should be accorded top priority, the DC emphasised and assured uninterrupted supply of basic needs to the public, particularly rice.
The DC was accompanied by ADC Thangboi Gangte, ADC (Dev.) S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, SDO/BDO Singngat and Suangdoh Samuel Lhungdim, St Thomas Parish, Singngat Father Mung and other officers of the district administration.
