Last date for Young Talent Artistes award extended

North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Ministry of Culture has extended the last date for submission of application form for 'Young Talent Artiste Award 2022-23' till September 10 .
Earlier, the last date for submission of application was August 31 but it was extended by 10 days keeping in view of the present conflict in Manipur.
The scheme of award to Young Talented Artistes is being implemented by Ministry of Culture through Zonal Cultural Centres to promote the young talented artistes in the age group of 18-30 years in the field of various folk art forms which are rare and at the verge of extinct such as folk and tribal music/songs and dance, theatre, dance drama, mime, painting, wood/cane & bamboo crafts, traditional handloom & handicrafts, pottery among others.
Unmarried young artistes/arti-sans in the age group (as on March 31, 2023) are eligible to apply for the Award.
The main aim of this scheme is to recognize & encourage Young Talented Artists in various performing/ folk Art forms of the region.
The award consists of Rs 20,000, a citation and a memento.
Candidates should be an Indian citizen and indigenous to the eight North Eastern states.
Candidates who have received any such awards (State/Na-tional) earlier in the same held are not eligible for.
