Preparations in full swing for Lui-Ngai-Ni

Hectic preparations are underway for the celebration of Lui-Ngai-Ni festival to be held on February 15 under the theme "sowing goodwill, reaping understanding" at Mini Stadium Ground, Tahamzam in Senapati district.
The Lui-Ngai-Ni festival will be hosted by Naga People Organisation (NPO) Senapati.
The celebration will renew the sowing of the seeds of fraternity and love within the Naga family and of mutual respect with their neighbours.
The festival will once again reaffirm the wisdom filled values of their forefathers as the Nagas commit themselves to changes of improvement, progress and development in their collective lives and usher in an era of harmony, prosperity and good will.
Kiyanilie Peseyie, Minister of Social Security & Welfare, Government of Nagaland will grace the celebration as chief guest and L Dikho, MLA, 48-Mao ST/ AC will grace as chief host of this seed sowing festival.
LB Sono, Chairman Zomi Council, Dr John Pulamte, President Hmar Inpui, P Chuba Ozukum, President of Naga Hoho, and Tangpang Ozukum President of Naga Students' Federation will be the special invitees.
While appealing to all Naga tribes and well wishers to come and participate at the seed sowing festival, the organizing committee said that folk song singing, performing of cultural dances, traditional fashion show, lighting of sacred fire, blowing of horns, bamboo pole climbing, etc.
