Integrated Communication and Outreach Programmes held

A one-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) on Systematic Voter's Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was organised at Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang, Imphal West District yesterday.
The ICOP was organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office, Imphal under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
It was attended by Dr W Nimai Singh, Principal, Kamakhya Pemton College; Dr Mutum Indrakumar Meetei, Head, Department of Physics, Kamakhya Pemton College; and Dr Nongthombam Brojendro Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Kamakhya Pemton College as presidium members.
At the event, Dr Nongthombam Brojendro enlightened the gathering on ethical voting and general malpractices during elections.
An on the spot quiz contest was also held and prizes along with certificates were handed over to the winners.
Certificate of participation was also distributed to the attendees.
Meanwhile, a 3-days long ICOP cum Photo Exhibition on "9 years of Seva, Sushashan, Gariba Kalyan, SVEEP, Vision 2047, etc" was kicked off yesterday at the premises of Department of Law, Manipur University.
The ICOP cum Photo Exhibition was organised by the CBC, Regional Office, Imphal.
The inaugural function was attended by Manipur University (MU), Vice Chancellor, Prof N Lokendra; MU, Department of Law, Head, Dr Yumnam Premananda; MU, Social Science, Dean, Prof Th Purnima; MU, Finance Officer, Prof Elangbam Nixon; MU, Department of South East Asian Studies, Head, Prof Chinglen Masinam and CBC Regional Office, Imphal, Field Publicity Officer, Dr Nongmaithem Reena as presidium members.
