In a first in State, Jiribam gets sanitary napkin vending machines

Jiribam, November 05 2019:
For the first time in Manipur, sanitary napkin vending machines were installed at schools and public toilets in Jiribam district today.
Jiribam Municipal Council (JMC) installed the sanitary napkin vending machines.
JMC Chairperson S Shanti Devi also dedicated a sanitary napkin incinerator to the public.

JMC Executive Officer (EO), M Surjit said that the sanitary napkin vending machines were installed at five schools and three public toilets in areas under the JMC as Ningol Chakkouba gifts to girls/women.
The vending machines were installed under the Swachh Bharat Mission to ensure safety and hygiene among women.
The sanitary napkin vending machines were installed at Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Kasturba Girls High School, RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Jiribam Model High School and Highway English School.
