'Land of Bok' bags best production award

Imphal, January 17, 2012:
The play, 'Land of Bok' of Concord Art Theatre (CAT), Kongjeng Leikai Club Bazar, Imphal West bagged the best production award at the All India Multi-Lingual Dance and Drama Competition, 2012 organised by Sanskar Bharati Natya Kendra, Agra from January 2 to 7, 2012. In all 36 theatre groups from 16 different states participated in the theatrical extravaganza held at Agra.
In the same play, Usham Sharda who played the character role of Leiren won the best actress award while AK Jiten picked up both the awards for best supporting actor and second best director.
Directed by AK Jiten on the script developed by Chingtham Nabakanta, Land of Bok depicts the suffering of the people in the armed conflict situation of Manipur.
It had earlier won seven awards in the 42nd All Manipur Short Play Competition organized by Theatre Centre, Manipur last year.
