Two Congress workers abducted at Senapati

While two Congress supporters have been abducted at Senapati, grenade attacks continue unabated in the valley districts.
CorCom on the other hand has clarified that it was not involved in the bomb attacks against P Premananda and Dr N Nara.
According to sources, unidentified persons abducted two Congress supporters of Education Minister DD Thaisii between Senapati and Karong between 4.30 pm and 5 pm yesterday.
The abducted persons identified as Thoii and Lamkhai belong to Oinam village of Senapati district.
On the other hand, bomb attacks targeting Congress workers and offices continue unabated.
One hand grenade was found at the Kakching Ningthou Leikai residence of Kakching Municipal Council Chairperson M (O) Inakhunbi this morning.
It is said that Inakhunbi is a supporter of Congress candidate Y Surchandra.
Another hand grenade was also found at the gate of one Takhellambam Kasi (67) at Ngaikhong Khullen Bazar in Bishnupur this morning.
The grenade which failed to go off was picked by a combined team of Bishnupur Police and troops of 6/8 GR.
Another Congress worker Chingakham Tomba (64) of Bishnupur Ward No 3 was also gifted a hand grenade by some unidentified persons.
CorCom has claimed responsibility for these incidents.
It has also claimed responsibility for lobbing the bomb at the Congress office at Khongman Zone IV on January 11 and at the residence of Congress candidate at Lilong AC on January 15.One more hand grenade was recovered from the courtyard of one Moirangthem Borajao of Lamlai Makha Leikai.
Notably, a piece of paper was found beneath the grenade and it was written with the words, "Mr Moirangthem Borajao, this is last warning.
You cannot indulge in election related activities".
The grenade was also picked up by police.
Another hand grenade was recovered from the ditch in front of a row of shops, opposite tthe main gate of Manipur University campus.
Police later picked up the grenade.
