A free medical camp organised by the Rotary Club of Imphal was held at Sainik School, Imphal today, said a statement issued by the Club.
A large group of Rotarians led by its president Dr Kh Palin took part in the medical camp where the Principal of the school, Captain Surinder Singh and his staff were also present.
More than 300 students and nearby villagers attended the camp.
A team of 22 doctors, other than doctors from the Rotary Club, also attended the camp.
A class nine student of Sainik School Vesazo Kikhi whose foot was amputated after a train accident at Guwahati in 2007 was also examined.
The student was assured that Jaipur foot would be provided to him and he is insured under Group Janta Personal Accident Insurance by the school authority and had received financial help to the tune of Rs 50,000, said the statement further.
