Imphal, August 24:
The proscribed KCP has denied any connection or relationship with one Konjenbam Ibungo (25) of Wangjing Lamding Cherapur who was arrested by Thoubal police commandos.
A statement issued by the outfit's information and publicity secretary H Poirei opined that the individual could be member of gang whose intention is to tarnish image of the KCP.
Highlighting that KCP has ceased serving monetary notes as had been decided with the PREPAK, KYKL and UNLF organisations, Poirei further asserted that there is no different KCP other than the one led under the presidentship of Laba alias Noyol alias Sengoi.
Cautioning that individuals posing and claiming to be KCP cadres had been confusing the general public, Poirei without taking names insisted that certain people with vested interest and unable to sustain pressure of being a true and committed revolutionary left their respective organisations to indulge in anti-party activities.
Describing such group of individuals as reactionary forces acting at the behest of indian security forces to smear KCP's image, Poirei appealed to the people to be wary of these elements.
He also maintained that inspite of stumbling blocks in the path of KCP's endeavour to strengthen the organisation there would be no leniency in the effort and urged other revolutionary groups to extend all possible assistance.
