Imphal, November 07:
Following the imposition of an indefinite economic blockade by the Mao Students' Union from 6 am today, a large number of vehicles are reportedly stranded at Mao gate.
The stranded vehicles included 142 trucks, 16LPG carriers and one bus.
It may be noted here the blockade had been imposed by the union as a mark of protest against the State Govt's failure to repair the Tadubi-Liyai road.
A meeting consisting of Mao Students' Union members, Senapati dist DC and AE of the dist's PWD was also held at the Tadubi community hall late in the afternoon but failed to bring any amicable solution.
