Imphal, March 28:
Senapati district based organisations alleged that Deputy Commissioner of the district Km Nidhi Kesarwani had issued appointment order of the Oklong Village Authority Chairman to D Ngoulung despite the said individual getting less votes than his opponent Ng Ramba.
Contending that Ramba secured seven votes compared to only five by Ngoulung and that the 12 village authority members had declared the former as chairman of the said body, a release issued by the Oklong Village Authority and appended by president of Naga People Organisation (Senapati district), Sub Divisional Officer (Mao-Maram TD Block) and Khullakpa/headman (Oklong village) further alleged that the Deputy Commissioner declined to acknowledge decision of the majority electoral members.
Serving an ultimatum to the DC to review her decision, representatives of the bodies cautioned that in case of failure to act positively the bodies would not only boycott the IAS officer but would also resort to intense form of non-cooperative movement.
