442 vehicles leave Jiri

Jiribam, September 24 2012:
At least 442 goods laden vehicles have left Jiribam for Imphal along NH-37 under tight security protection of IRB personnel.
The vehicles carried cements, FCI rice, fertilisers, medicines and other essential commodities.
Meanwhile, the 48-hour bandh called in the hill district of Manipur by various students organisations has severely affected movement of passenger vehicles on NH-37 .
However, no untoward incident has been reported during the day.
