A free medical camp has been conducted from August 11 to 13 to prevent Malaria outbreak at Lenglon village, Tamei subdivision, Tamenglong under the supervision of the State Malaria Officer.
An emergency medical team rushed to the village and conducted the camp immediately following reports of the outbreak of malaria throughout the village.
The three day camp was jointly organised by the Assistant Malaria Officer Th Nilkumar (in-charge) in association with Health Supervisor (Microscopic) A Dijen along with two staff of the department.
Preventive measures to stop the spread of malaria as well to stop breeding of mosquitos were taken up by the medical team.
The medical team also took up other measures to stop the spread of other diseases as well.
The MO In-Charge Dr Gracy, Tamei under the leadership of SDO, Tamei extended a helping hand to conduct the programme.
The medical team collected blood slide samples from the villagers for PR test and confirmed many positive cases.
The villagers were provided Anti Malarial medicines for free.
