Imphal, November 03 2013:
The proscribed UNLF has alleged that the recent series of bomb blasts which targeted civilians, particularly the Yaiskul bomb blast which claimed three lives besides injuring many others were carried out by the Indian military.
Such bomb blasts were carried out with a motive to blame the revolutionary groups for what they did and project the revolutionary groups as terrorist organisations and thus diminish the support of these revolutionary groups.
The Indian military and its Government have been actively staging a covert strategy called WHAM (war in the heart and mind) with a sinister design to overwhelm people's mind and thought with a sense of fear and insecurity, said a press release issued by the outfit's Senior Publicity Officer Ksh Yoiheiba.
All revolutionary groups of the land never hesitated to confess and apologise when there were civilian casualties in their armed campaign against the Indian military.
Moreh bus parking stand of Yaiskul is not a spot visited by the Indian military personnel frequently.
Rather it was a spot for civilian gatherings being a bus parking.
Obviously, planting bombs at such places would definitely cause casualties to civilians and revolutionary groups would gain nothing from planting a bomb at such a place.
On other hand, when a single Indian military man died in attacks carried out by revolutionary, they would retaliate by killing 10 civilians.
The Indian military has been killing Manipuri people openly as well as secretively with an intention to exterminate the whole Manipur nation, it alleged.
Many Indian military officers involved in staging fake encounters and killing people for ransom have been decorated with the Ashok Chakra.
Maj Shri Ramkumar of 39 Assam Rifles was awarded the Ashok Chakra in 2010 even though he was deeply involved in killing Nobo and his brother Govind from Bashikhong as well as Yengkhom Krishnadas of Kakching Sumak Leikai after calling Krishnadas out from Thangmeiband Khomdram Selungba Leikai for ransom of Rs 25 lakh in fake encounters.
It was not long ago when Manipur Police nabbed Maj Anand Kanti of 22 AR when he came for extortion together with some cadres of a group under SoO pact at Jiribam.
The magnitude of such anti-people activities reported in media is just the tip of an iceberg if compared to the scale of all such activities which went unreported.
The State Government in cahoot with the Indian military has been planting bombs which appeared as if they were targeting non-local people driven by certain agenda to project the revolutionary groups as terrorist organisations, derail the people's movement against unchecked influx and at the same time turn public attention away from the Amnesty International's recommendation to release Irom Sharmila.
All kinds of crimes and violence witnessed in Manipur are outcomes of the forced merger of Manipur into the Indian dominion and subsequent policy to exterminate the whole Manipuri nation, it alleged.
Notwithstanding the oft-repeated preachings of the puppet regime that violence would not solve any problem, people know very well how the Government of India views the 13 year old non-violent struggle of Sharmila, it asserted.
