4 members of family test COVID-19 positive in Koide village

Senapati, May 22 2021:
In response to the report of 4 new COVID-19 positive cases from a family in Koide Makha village under Senapati district on May 21, the District Administration has initiated contact tracing to identify the people who were exposed to the confirmed cases of coronavirus.
A medical team rushed to the village for sample collection at Koide village today.
Besides, a team of the 47-Karong A/C COVID-19 Awareness cum Enforcement Committee also visited the spot to oversee the sample collections.
The management team was led by PP Ronald, SDO Purul and Dr MB Thoho, MO i/c, PHC Phaibung.
They had a brief interaction with the concerned village Authorities and advised them to provide their cooperation to the Medical team.
Samples for 254 persons were reportedly collected for RT-PCR test in Imphal.
The management team also appealed to the villagers to take the pandemic very seriously and to follow the Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviours in letter and in spirit.
As an encouragement, and as a good gesture, the Management team donated medicines, PPE kits, Sodium Hypochlorite, hand gloves, face masks, sanitizer, etc to the villagers.
The villagers extended their appreciation and gratitude to the Chairman of the committee, DD Thaisii and his management team, the District Administration and the medical team for their sacrifices and assistance.
