AR empowers women in Yaurabung

Imphal, October 27 2018:
With an aim to empower women, Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) donated three sewing machines for setting up of Vocational Training Centre under the Social Development Organisation and Meira Paibis of the village on 27th October.
The donation of sewing machines is a positive leap towards generation of employment opportunities and developing professional skills of the women.

At the same venue a free Medical and Health Check Up camp was also organised for the villagers.
The Regimental Medical Officer examined the villagers and provided free medical treatment to more than 100 patients and also distributed free medicines.
The Meira Paibis and locals expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their earnest endeavor towards empowerment of women folk and extending health benefits to locals.
