220th Death anniversary of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra observed

Education Minister Thokchom
Radheshyam said that the ideology
of Rajarshi Bhagyachandra is
spreading of devotion in one's
work.
Bhakti, devotion, he added
can be in any form devoting oneself
to love and pursue God, elders or
to the motherland.
With devotion and beliefs of
Rajarshi Bhagyachandra, he said
that it brings unity amongst the
people having same faith in the
society.
The Minister was speaking
at the Closing Ceremony of 220th
Death Anniversary of Rajarshi
Bhagyachandra at Manipur State
Film Development Society, Imphal
organised by Anumahaprabhu
Sebait Samity, Nabadwip Dham,
West Bengal.
The Minister said that Nat
Sankirtan is a form of art where
believers show their dedication to
the traditions that has been
passing down from generation to
generations.
He opined that people
of same faith should spare times to
spend together so that they could create an ambience that could flow
from this generation to the future
generations.
He said that preservation and
conservation of the Nat Sankirtan
is important through
institutionalisation of the art form.
He said that the ideas and views
shared should be converse into
action to safeguard the long
followed tradition.
With regards to the proposal for better maintenance of the Nabadwip
Dham and on bringing of certain
belongings of the late King Rajarshi
Bhagyachandra, he said that the
concern will be discussed with the
Chief Minister.
The programme was attended by
the MLAs S.Subhaschandra Singh,
Nahakpam Indrajit Singh, Director,
Art & Culture, Aribam Shivadas
Sharma, dignitaries and members of
the samity and general public.
