LJP State unit mourns Paswan

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Manipur State unit today paid rich tributes to the party's founder president and Union CAF&PD Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan who died yesterday.
In the condolence meeting held today at Lilong Chajing Mairenkhong community hall, the members of the State unit offered floral tributes to the photo of the late leader and observed two minute's silence as a mark of respect to the late soul.
Speaking at the meeting, LJP's National vice president and MLA of Langthabal AC, Karam Shyam stated that the demise of Ram Vilas Paswan is an irreparable loss, not only to the party but also to the State and the country at large.
He had met the late leader, who had a political career lasting nearly 5 decades, on multiple occasions and through the meetings he was able to learn many things, said Karam Shyam.
The National leader was a very humble person and a soft spoken leader, he said.
Ram Vilas Paswan became an MLA of the Bihar Legislative Assembly at the age of 23 and was elected as Lok Sabha MP eight times and twice as a Rajya Sabha MP during his illustrious political career, he said.
He also served at the office of various Ministries and Departments and was serving as the CAF&PD Minister when he passed away, he said.
The former CAF&PD Minister of Manipur also stated that the National leader was a very considerate person and was always available to assist him whenever there were issues.
He also highlighted the achievements he made while he was serving as the CAF&PD Minister in the State with the help of the Union Minister during the event.
LJP is not a party familiar to everyone earlier but it has been able to expand and reach out to everyone with him (Shyam) becoming an MLA, he continued.
"I pledge that I will never let down the trust shown to me by Ram Vilas Paswan", said Karam Shyam adding that he will never work against his principle or leave the party for another for his own benefit.
The condolence meeting was also attended by president of LJP State unit, Thangkhangin Ngaihte; president of Langthabal LJP unit, L Birenyaima, other members and party supporters.
