JM Imphal West issues notice to file objection

The Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has issued notice to informants of the June 18, 2001 case and Extra Judicial Execution Victim Families Association Manipur (EEVFAM) asking them to file objection, if any in connection with the closure report submitted by CBI SCB III New Delhi.
The final/closure report of the case was submitted after investigation by Bibek Ranjan Roy, DSP of CBI, SCB Kolkata attached to SIT Manipur, as per the direction of the Supreme Court of India.
The report stated that the death of Amom Rajen and others on June 18, 2001 due to alleged firing by the CRPF personnel at Chief Minister Bungalow, needs to be closed as no sufficient admissible evidence has been found during the investigation.
CBI SCB III New Delhi also prayed the Court to pass necessary orders for returning the original documents/case records/exhibits to the police station and persons concerned.
With the CBI filing the closure report, the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West registered Cril Misc FR case and issued notice to informants to file objection, if any, over the report.
The Court further informed to issue the order copy to Special PP CBI and fixed October 16 for next hearing.
