Three deaths recorded for second day

For the second consecutive day, the State recorded three deaths due to COVID-19 during the last 24 hours including the one Assam Rifles personnel.
One personnel of 46 AR posted at Moreh was brought to RIMS at around 8.30 pm of October 8 with breathing difficulty.
On being tested, the 52-year old AR man was found infected by COVID-19 and he died at around 8.30 am today.
A 40-year old man from Kakching and 76-year old man from Imphal West died at JNIMS and Raj Medicity respectively during the last 24 hours pushing the COVID-19 death toll to 86 .
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 131 people including eight personnel of CAPF were tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours at JNIMS, RIMS, Maipakpi Hospital, Tengnoupal, Noney, Churachandpur, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Senapati, Jiribam, Thoubal, Christian Hospital, Raj Medicity, Kakching, Hillside Hospital, Babina Diagnostics and Tamenglong.
Of the 123 civilians who have been tested positive, 24 belong to Imphal West, 59 to Imphal East, four to Churachandpur, five to Kakching, four to Tamenglong, three to Noney, four to Senapati, one to Bishnupur, one to Tengnoupal, four to Jiribam, 12 to Thoubal and two to Kangpokpi.
Out of them, 114 have no significant history of travelling outside the State.
In the meantime, 147 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (8), CCC Lamding (1), CCC Noney (18), PHC Haochong (2), CCC UNACCO (21), Sadbhavna Mandap ((13), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (41), RD Wing (2), Tamenglong (3), Ukhrul (3), CCC Thoubal (5), Senapati (1), Kangpokpi (1) and CAPF (28).The total number of positive cases has reached 12,810 (general population 10,313, Central security personnel 2,497) .
It includes 2858 active cases (general population 2,497, Central security personnel 361) and 9866 discharged cases (general population 7,734, Central security personnel 2132).The recovery rate is 77.01 per cent.
