Manipur Loumi Lup observes black day

As observed across the nation in condemnation of implementation of New Farm Law despite vehement protests and demanding release of the innocent farmers organised by Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) and Joint Platform of Central Trade Unions/ Federations, Manipur Loumi Lup observed Black Day' at Irawat Bhawan on Tuesday in a simple manner in view of the present situation.
In a release, Manipur Loumi Lup secretary H Ibobi informed that during observance of black day memorandums were submitted to Prime Minister through district administrations demanding implementation of Minimum Support Price, removal of four labour codes violating the rights of labourers and removal of GST on essential commodities among others.
During the observance held at Irawat Bhawan, Manipur Loumi Lup president N Singhajit appealed to provide seeds for Rabi crops to farmers where cultivation of paddy could not be done.
As the paddy cultivation will be drastically reduced this year, he urged authorities concerned to provide at least 10 kg of NFSA rice to the beneficiaries.
