KPA releases manifesto, declares two candidates

Kuki Peoples Alliance (KPA) on Thursday released its election manifesto during a nomina-tion-cum-declaration of candidates for the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly held at its office, Little Woods situated at Rengkai road.
During the event, candidates Chinlunthang Manlun (Singhat ST) and Kimneu Hangshing (Saikul ST) assembly constituencies, were given the KPA tickets.
Before the party tickets were handed out to them, KPA president Tongmang Haokip administered an oath, followed by nomination of the two candidates before a blessing prayer by reverend T Janglhun.
Earlier, the KPA president announced the party's election manifesto which included effective implementation of Article 371C, Hill Areas Committee (HAC) and strengthening of the Autonomous District Council (ADC), equal representation equal, settlement of delimitation and setting right the Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reform Act,1961 (Amendment ), among other points.
Also, issues related to hill areas included in the valley constituencies, protection and preservation of ecology and environment, harnessing and conservation of mountain stream water, besides others, were included in the KPA manifesto.
